IOR Privacy Policy
As part of its normal course of business, IOR Global Services, Inc. (“IOR”) encounters situations whereby it may collect personal data from the clients and partners it serves. As a provider of relocation support services dealing with global employees around the world, and as an organization that is subject to the investigatory and enforcement powers of the Federal Trade Commission, we use this data to perform Destination Services, Cultural Training and Language Training. Data privacy and data protection are of the utmost importance to us, our affiliates, our contractors, and anyone else who may be involved in a service. IOR Global Service’s Privacy Policy has been created to communicate how we handle personally identifiable information (PII) in our business practices.
IOR also complies with the Global Data Privacy Regulation (GDPR), fully enacted May 25, 2018, and IOR is fully committed to the EU’s European Convention on Human Rights (ECHR) Article 8: we have a right to respect one’s “private and family life, his home and his correspondence.”
By visiting IOR’s website or doing business with IOR, you confirm that you have read, understood and agreed to the provisions of this Privacy Policy and to our Terms of Service of IOR. IOR welcomes your feedback about this privacy policy. All individuals have the right to access their personal data. IOR will ask express permission from individuals to forward information onto third parties and understands it may be held liable in cases where data is transferred to third parties without consent and that individuals, under certain conditions, may invoke binding arbitration. 1. WHO IS IOR AND WHY IS MY INFORMATION NEEDED?
IOR Global Services, Inc. (“IOR”) provides relocation support services including Destination Services, Intercultural Training and Language Training. We may store customer information, including first and last name, physical and email addresses, phone number or other pertinent contact and information in our secure program management database, to perform our services to satisfy our quality requirements and client’s satisfaction.
IOR will never contact a client assignee to offer new products or services unless informing and receiving permission from the client Company.
2. WHAT INFORMATION DOES IOR GATHER/TRACK AND HOW IS IT USED?
PERSONAL IDENTIFIABLE INFORMATION (PII): Because of the nature of our services, we must collect personal identifiable information from users during the program authorization or services delivery process, including first and last name, email address or other contact information. As a customer, your contact information may be used solely by IOR to send you information regarding your services or company updates. We use the information collected to deliver services, process payments, update our records, communicate with you about products and services and generally maintain your accounts with us. We do not share, sell, trade, or rent your personal information to third parties for any reason whatsoever.
TRAFFIC PATTERNS: IOR may track aggregate traffic and usage patterns throughout its website. However, we do not correlate this information with personally identifiable data about individual users. Any information gathered from observations will not be passed to third parties without consent unless where required by applicable law.
COOKIES: A cookie is a small data file that certain Web sites write to your hard drive when you visit them. Cookies may be used to track user traffic patterns and hold certain registration information. We do not store passwords or any Personal Information about you in the cookies. Our tools may gather data such as what browser a person uses or what operating systems are used. This information is used solely to assist IOR in maintaining a more effective and useful Web site for our customers.
The Help menu on the menu bar of most browsers will tell you how to prevent your browser from accepting new cookies, how to have the browser notify you when you receive a new cookie and how to disable cookies altogether. You can still review the Web site if you choose to set your browser to refuse all cookies.
3. WITH WHOM IS THE INFORMATION SHARED?
Ensuring your privacy is important to us. We do not sell, trade or rent your personal information to third parties. IOR products and services by necessity require us to provide some of your information to third parties. We may occasionally employ other companies to perform functions on our behalf. IOR will only allow companies who follow the same strict guidelines as IOR. They have access to personal information needed only to perform their functions and may not use it for any other purpose. Further, they must process the personal information in accordance with this Privacy Policy.
Except in the limited instances as stated above, we will never voluntarily share personally identifiable information with any third party without the user’s express consent or unless compelled by applicable state and federal laws. We reserve the right to disclose your personally identifiable information as required by law and when we believe that disclosure is necessary to protect our rights and/or to comply with a judicial proceeding, court order, or legal process served on our website.
IOR’s website contains links to social media sites such as Linked In, Twitter, etc., which may collect your IP address if you click on those links. IOR does not control the practices of those companies or our affiliates. 4. HOW CAN I OPT OUT OF IOR’S COLLECTION, USE AND DISTRIBUTION OF MY INFORMATION?
IOR has a strict policy against the sale or sharing of any information collection by its customer with any partners, third-parties, or affiliates other than those directly required to deliver the specific service for which you have paid. IOR does retain the information collected for internal purposes and analysis. Should an individual wish at any time to be removed from communication with IOR, they may contact the company on either the Contact Us form on our website or by emailing us at techteam@iorworld.com. Should we still need to contact an individual, that person may suggest alternative methods.
Should IOR make any material changes in our privacy practices that do not affect user information already stored in our database, we will post a prominent notice on our website notifying users of the change.
5. HOW DOES IOR PROTECT MY INFORMATION FROM LOSS, MISUSE OR ALTERATION?
In the context of an onward transfer IOR Global Services has responsibility for the processing of personal information it receives under the Privacy Shield and subsequently transfers to a third party acting as an agent on its behalf. The IOR Global Services shall remain liable under the Principles if its agent processes such personal information in a manner inconsistent with the Principles, unless the organization proves that it is not responsible for the event giving rise to the damage.
6. WHAT RECOURSE DO I HAVE RELATING TO UNSECURE, MISUSE OR DATA BREACH?
In compliance with the Privacy Shield Principles, IOR commits to resolve complaints about our collection or use of your personal information. EU individuals with inquiries or complaints regarding our Privacy Shield policy should first contact our Technology Team at techteam@iorworld.com. IOR has further committed to cooperate with the panel established by the EU data protection authorities with regard to unresolved Privacy Shield complaints concerning data transferred from the EU.
