Maximizing Culturally Diverse Teams on Short-Term Assignment

Challenge: A firm of international lawyers brought a diverse group of new employees to their London headquarters on 3 - 6 month assignments.  The nationalities and cultures included Australians, Hong Kong Chinese, Germans, Americans, and Italians. There were a total of 40 assignees.

IOR Program Solution: IOR designed a group program that provided this diverse group of employees with greater insights into the norms and customs of the British along with a better understanding of the dynamics of working on a multicultural team.  In addition, the group gained practical tips and guidelines for living and working in London.

Results: The multicultural team reported an increased comfort level with business and social protocols which led to quicker acclimation and overall productivity in the law firm.
