Destination Services Counselor
As a Destination Services Counselor your role is to assist our customers transitioning to a new country and city. Their initial one week preview occurs approximately one month prior to their actual moving date. Counselor tasks include house hunting, visiting schools, opening a bank account, etc. A second phase occurs upon the employee's return to the host country to begin his/her work assignment and includes applying for a driver's license, local area orientation and so on.
Language Tutoring

Language tutors are employed world-wide by IOR for individual/family and group classes. IOR offers clients language programs in all languages, anywhere in the world.Our language tutors are qualified, experienced andmotivated to help business professionals learn a foreign language. IOR has a communicative language teaching approach that is based on teaching practical language skills.
Training: Country Resources
As part of Intercultural Training programs IOR frequently employs Country Resource experts in the areas on daily living, business and the host country culture.

- Daily Living Resource
As a Daily Living consultant, your role is to provide specific information on daily living issues, such as health, inclusive of names of recommended doctors and hospitals, as well as helpful hints on particular shops, expatriate clubs, and leisure facilities. Sessions are often conducted over the phone for one to two hours.
- Host Country National Resource
As a Host Country National, your role is to portray your understanding of the culture using ideas and examples from your own experiences. This will help participants interpret the culture as they encounter it and help them become more comfortable in both personal and professional interactions in the host country. The IOR trainer will help you frame your discussion around certain cultural hypotheses or exercises.
- Business Resource
As a Business consultant, your role is to portray your understanding of the business culture using ideas and examples from your own experiences. This will help participants interpret the culture as they encounter it and help them become more comfortable in both personal and professional interactions in the host country. You must have both living and working experience in the target culture for approximately two years or more.
