Our History

A leader and innovator in the Global Mobility industry for over 35 years, IOR Global Services was founded after original owner Noel Kreicker went through her own “failed” expatriate experience. In the late 1970’s, Noel returned from Bogotá, Columbia determined to make the expat transition easier so international assignees could succeed in both their living and working environments. Known originally as International Orientation Resources, IOR began by offering Destination Services and Intercultural Training programs to expatriates, and so thereafter added Language Training services. As companies became increasingly global, organizations turned their focus to talent and leadership development and IOR led the industry by offering a full spectrum of Global Talent Management solutions.

As part of IOR’s succession-planning strategy, Kendra Mirasol, a multi-lingual, former expatriate with extensive management experience, joined the company in 2006. Entrepreneur Rob Burns and Kendra purchased IOR from Noel in July 2010. Rob’s experience in developing and managing global client relationships and building and leading global teams has further strengthened the IOR management team. Under their leadership, IOR has invested heavily in technology, talent and quality processes and in early 2014, IOR became the second US-based company to earn the prestigious EuRA Global Quality Seal.

As a trusted business partner, IOR continues to deliver superior support to advance employee effectiveness across cultures. We work with thousands of global assignees each year to help them work productively and thrive in new international roles.

And our first client back in 1979 is still a valued client today!
