Yemen: National Symbol                                          

 

 

  • The emblem of Yemen was introduced in 1990. 
 
  • On the green scroll is the name of the country “The Yemeni Republic” in Arabic Al-Jumhuriyyah Al-Yamaniyah.  
 
  • On the right and the left of the eagle is the flag of Yemen.
 
  • The shield on the eagle’s chest has a coffee plant and an image of the Marib Dam. (See more on the coffee plant in the “Did you know?” section and more on the Marib Dam in the “Historical Overview” section.)
